SYNOPSIS
Savage gets revenge for the gas attack on Novatown.

FIRSTS & LASTS
None.

INFORMATION
Novatown is a new city in the north east of England. It was attacked by the Volgans early in their invasion of Britain using 6-5. They have left it empty.

6-5 is a nerve gas used by the Volgans.

BILL SAVAGE
He and Silk visit Novatown. They meet Charlie who puts them up in his hotel. The Volgans followed their trail to Novatown, to the hotel and ultimately to the bathtub Savage is relaxing in. Savage kills the Volgan patrol with the shotgun he has hidden in the bathwater. They discover Charlie is dying in the foyer. He tells Savage about an unexploded gas canister at ground level. Equipped with gasmasks, Savage and Silk stand atop the hotel's roof and when a Volgan shock force arrives, Savage shoots the canister and releases the gas killing all the Volgans.

OTHER CHARACTERS
SILK
He and Savage visit Novatown.

CHARLIE
The last man alive in Novatown. He lives in a hotel. He had a gas mask when the Volgan attack came. He put Savage ands Silk up in his hotel. He is stabbed by the Volgans and left for dead in the hotel foyer. He tells Savage about an unexploded gas canister.

DEATHS
Potentially millions. Charlie is stabbed in the back with a couple of Volgan bayonets. Savage and Silk kill four Volgans while washing. The gas canister kills the entire Volgan shock force of at least 21 men. It's unclear what the population of Novatown was when the Volgans attacked.

BEST LINES
Silk: "What the-? Volgans!"

I was really hoping that Silk would swear.

WORST LINES
Savage: "'Ang about Grandpa's still alive!"

Such respect, Savage.

CATCHPHRASES
A dying Volgan shouts a variant spelling of "Aaaiee!"

CONTINUITY & CROSSOVERS
None.

INFLUENCES & REFERENCES
Unknown.

MISTAKES
I'm reliably informed that Savage's gun would fire after being submerged in the bath, but probably only once.

RETROSPECT
None.

NOTES
None.

CREDITS
Script: Gerry Finley-Day
Artist: Mike Dorey
Letters: John Aldrich

REVIEW
As with its predecessor this strip features Savage using the Volgans own methods against them and is all the better for it. The artwork starts bleak veers into a more cartoony style and finally ends up bordering on harrowing.
