This strip appeared alongside Judge Dredd, Tharg's Future Shocks, Ro-Busters and Strontium Dog and a Futuregraph by Bill Le Fevre featuring a hunter killer submarine, but apparently not the hunter killer submarine depicted in Flesh.

SYNOPSIS
Svenson takes on Big Hungry and loses command of his ship to Claw Carver.

FIRSTS & LASTS
First appearance of Peters.

INFORMATION
Trans-Time Hunter Killer submarines are equipped with sensors, emergency airlocks and an emergency command deck and is armed with explosive shells.

CLAW CARVER
He traps Svenson, Peters and another man on the flooding bridge of Thor's Hammer. Carver tells the rest of the crew that Svenson is dead and put him in command.

OTHER CHARACTERS
BULL SVENSON
He attempts to attack Big Hungry, follows the Nothosaur into an underwater cave and the submarine is trapped. The bridge is holed and floods. Svenson is trapped.

BIG HUNGRY
He hides from Thor's Hammer in an underwater cave.

PETERS
Helmsman aboard Thor's Hammer. He refuses to follow Big Hungry into the underwater cave and he is accused for mutiny. Trapped on the flooding bridge he uses a harpoon to smash a Perspex window and then climbs along the hull to an emergency airlock.

DEATHS
Two. Svenson and another crewmember drown on the flooding bridge.

BEST LINES
Carver: "Don't worry, men - You're safe! Your poor skipper ordered me to take command with his dying breath. Just show me where the emergency command deck is and I'll get you out of this jam!"

Peters: "Carver! I knew I could smell evil on you, well you're not going to murder me, pal!"

REVIEW
Claw Carver is a great antagonist, but with the introduction of Peters, the strip gets the hero it needs. From the opening battle to Carver's mutiny and Peters survival, this part is brilliant through and a real turning point for Book 2 of Flesh.
