SYNOPSIS
Claw Carver arrives and makes n enemy of Big Hungry.

INFORMATION
Trans-Time employees serve a six month tour of duty as standard.

'CLAW' CARVER
After months lost in time, he zeroes in on the Trans-Time base in the Triassic period and crash lands his time shuttle onto the beach. Carver kills a brood of young Nothosaurs and hides his gold in their cave. He makes contact with Trans-Time employees and is forced to sign on for a six month tour of duty.

CHIEF HAWKINS
He doesn't trust Carver.

J.M. GROSE
He employs Carver to serve a six month tour of duty.

OTHER CHARACTERS
BIG HUNGRY
A very large Nothosaur. He often attacks Trans-Time's fishing fleet. Big Hungry returns to his cave to find his young dead.

DEATHS
At least seven. Claw kills at least seven Nothosaurs.

BEST LINES
Hawkins: "All Trans-Time bases have been built strong after what happened to the Cretaceous one. Did you hear about that, Mr...er..."
Carver: "Hear about it? I was there, man! Fighting off Tyrannosaurs, giant spiders, the whole shooting match - had to win time for the other survivors to get clear!"

Hawkins: "This man thought he could steal a shuttle, too! And he's been sentenced to 20 lashes from the electro lash!"

REVIEW
The opening double page splash is stunning and the return of Claw Carver is very welcome. Book 2 gets better and better, but Big Hungry is no replacement for Old One Eye.
